What you’ll be doing:

The selected intern will work in the Faculty of Bioeconomy and the project ZETA – Losing weight in marine biota, and help with the implementation of a PhD study in the field and during a mesocosm experiment. The part-time work consists of field sampling and experiment at Tvärminne Zoological Station. In the lab, we expect you to help with the microscopy of zooplankton samples, lab analyses, and data handling. Your task will also be to communicate project development on social media platforms. 

Ways to stand out from the croud:

It is beneficial in your work if you have a driving license or boat use experience.
In your work you are working in a team; you take responsibility for your tasks.

What we’re looking for:

  • bachelor or master student in a related field (environmental or marine sciences)
  • person fluent in English
  • social and communicative person

Internship salary according to Collective agreement for universities of applied sciences and internal directives. The position includes a probationary period equal to half the length of the contract.

Employment:

For the period 1.5.2025 – 31.10.2025, totally max 240 working hours.
